Seeking DevOps Manager
Position: The DevOps Manager is able to think big picture while balancing extreme attention to detail, community, and technology. They are a self-starter who sees the enormous potential in our company and how their role is crucial in getting us there.
Our mission: To change the lives of formerly and currently incarcerated musicians so their work is widely heard, uncensored, and upholding of their creativity and humanity.
The DevOps Manager will be responsible for:
Streamlining our operations via various apps to be as fundraising-optimized as possible: Roads All Lead to Fundraising (RALF).
Rebuilding our CRM platform DonorPerfect (DP) to be more automated, organized, and people-focused.
Establishing an airtight system for residuals (Royalties): both collection of and distribution of - so our royalty statements go out semi-annually, on schedule, and are as thorough as possible. Apps: Quickbooks, probably Bill.com and others.
Helping our Founder and Treasurer utilize Quickbooks to its best ability, potentially expanding into Time Tracking, Payroll, Invoicing and Bookkeeping.
Integrating our email marketing platform Mailchimp with other people-facing software (DP, Squarespace, Square, Shopify, Quickbooks, Eventbrite) so we have the best data on our community.
Managing our digital distribution for FREER Records and FREER Music with Airtable and Audiosalad.
Helping our Founder organize the FREER digital archive so it can be interacted with company-wide via our Network Attached Storage (NAS).
Helping our Founder organize the physical archive, including prison letters, artwork, and operational company documents.
Leading our Merch systems for both IRL and Digital sales. Managing our physical merch inventory and all digital sales. Apps: Square, Squarespace, Eventbrite, eventually Shopify, etc.
Keeping abreast with AI technologies so as to streamline certain company operations. Using AI to make sure we do not fall behind, but are also not over-reliant and lazy.
Optimizing our Google Drive system especially as our NAS digital archive becomes more organized.
Webmaster for freerrecords.com via Squarespace.
User of Slack for certain communications.
Keeper of physical equipment including printer, scanner, and other office supplies.
Compensation and Hours DOM will work 28 hours per week, 10 hours in person at our Lower East Side office and 18 hours remotely. Salary: $43,680/year (30/hr). No benefits. Ten days of paid vacation.
Staffing DOM will report primarily to Operations Director Fury Young. They will secondarily report to BL Shirelle on Development matters.
